Well Art they did it even though you said not to!! I find myself of two minds (yes, I know a doubleminded man . . . ) the one is the same as yours (and there may be a good reason for that!!). The other is that there was no choice save let the whole mess blow up and it is 1929/30 all over again! The only problem I see is the inmates are in control of the prison!! There needs to be some one(s) who can control the $$ and the CEO's/CFO's and who care less about being liked/disliked/hated. Hey, Art; got time to go manage that 800 plus billion bailout? Here to the ride we are all about to take; pray that it leaves us better than we started.

Just a reminder!!
2 Chronicles 7:11 - 16 (NCV) 11Solomon finished the Temple of the LORD and his royal palace. He had success in doing everything he planned in the Temple of the LORD and his own palace. 12Then the LORD appeared to Solomon at night and said to him, “I have heard your prayer and have chosen this place for myself to be a Temple for sacrifices. 13“I may stop the sky from sending rain. I may command the locusts to destroy the land. I may send sicknesses to my people. 14Then if my people, who are called by my name, are sorry for what they have done, if they pray and obey me and stop their evil ways, I will hear them from heaven. I will forgive their sin, and I will heal their land. 15Now I will see them, and I will listen to the prayers prayed in this place. 16I have chosen this Temple and made it holy. So I will be worshiped there forever. Yes, I will always watch over it and love it.

Hi Ralph,
Actually, in regard to your second mind, :) , The bailout is exactly the kind of thing that garauntees 1929. Actually 1933 was t he worst, 29 was just the beginning. In 29 the bailout was created from bankers, not given to bankers. But the result will be the same. The bottom will be deeper for their efforts.
Still wildly optimistic about the Kingdom!
love
