When human life is affirmed based on someones convenience it is just a matter of time before the post born join the preborn. So how are we going to take care of all those baby boomers in another 15 years when they overwhelm the nursing homes...

One pastor in Canada was fined for reading directly from the Bible. The seeds are already sown here. Offend someone with Christianity and pay the price. Another link I could not find was for the man suing Zondervan because footnotes in one of the Bibles says that homosexuality is a sin. While I can't imagine he will win, it does set the stage for government reigning in 'public' speach and publication.

Pricey Beef. No url here, just an observation driving across Kansas that the feed lots are empty. For whatever reason, (ethanol and the price of corn?) cattle production looks radically down. So the real down side for me; When I shared this information with a couple of people, one of them said ,"Good! It will encourage people to be vegitarians." It seems that eating cows is bad for the environment... So if a beef shortage can be manufactured by the Gore crowd, it will help control my personal carnivore tendancies. Control is the operative word in my mind. The land of the free is setting the stage for becoming the land of the governed. (My favorite recent joke is that cows cause methane in the atmosphere. That's why I try to eat as many of them as I can.)
