Being Quiet

We actually do pray here. How can we pray for you?

Being Quiet

Postby ehart on Wed Oct 07, 2009 5:33 pm

I've been pretty quiet lately and so has the board. I think I know why the board is quiet and that's fine. The reason I've been gone and quiet is that my father's two sisters (both in their 90's) are dying and I've been spending time in prayer and with the one closest to me--both physically and mentally. It's a long road and filled with rocks and steep cliffs.

The one closest to me--E--has made the decision to stop eating and only sip water some. The family is gathering but time lines (as for all of us) are indefinite. This aunt was more of a mother/grandmother than an aunt. I spent most of the happiest parts of my childhood at her house.

The other--S--is on the west coast and has tumors which her daughter won't allow the doctors to remove for several reasons: age, her inability to heal quickly, high incidence of staph with each skin breakage, the probabilty that there are many, many more tumors inside that are undetected, and the fact that surgery could possibly end her life in and of itself. S's daughters are both Jehovah's Witnesses so I would ask for additonal prayer for her.

I am not part of the active decision making process for either of these aunts but they both hold a special place in my heart.

Thank you for your prayers and understanding.

Prayers are going up, Evangeline, for you, for your aunts and their families.

I've missed your book reviews here.
