What are you studying in church? What are you or your pastor talking about from the pulpit, Sunday school, or small groups?

We are going through the book of Jonah right now. What a fun book! It reminds me of Philippians. It's a compact book with distinct themes throughout. Different from Isaiah or Romans with their long prophesies and diatribes.

A neighboring church is conducting worship for us tomorrow too. Our worship team and tech team actually get to worship with their spouses and famalies. We will be doing it for their church soon too.

Hi folks,
We have just engaged a Next Step team to begin laying the ground work to take our church from 200 to 300 for weekly attendance. Job one is to move the congregational culture from Christ centered, inward focused, past oriented to Christ centered, outward focused, future oriented. We have three one month small groups of 26 people planned along with two trips to Green Lake for leadership development. The first small group is centered on the book, Pursuing the Full Kingdom Potential of Your Congregation by Bullard. The Second is based on Leading Congregational Change by Harrington, Bonem and Furr. The third is based on Direct Hit by Paul Borden.

This team is setting the stage for explosive growth to occur in 2009 and 2010. We have been experiencing growth by addition for a year and a half and are getting closer to being ready for growth by multiplication. Please keep us in prayer!

love
