Rick Warren's presidential debate

Friends -

I've admired Rick Warren for years; I've found him to be beholden only to his Lord and his Word. However, I'm scratching my head over his choice of partners for the upcoming presendential debate he is hosting.

There are several in my life who think that Rick Warren has bought the emerging post industrieal church model so thoroughly that conservative evangelicalism is actually seen as an obstacle.
On the other hand, I have a friend who is on his way as we speak to a 12 step training prgoram at Saddleback.
So we take what good we can and try not to be drawn in by the rest.
Isn't saddleback the third largest church in the US?

OK:
How many of you watched the debate?

I, personally, thought it was a great format and an equal playing field.

What was your take on the format?

IMHO...
Obama is on a quest to convince people that he is not the radical leftist his record would indicate. He actually voted against giving medical attention to children who survived abortion proceedures. And partial birth abortion is fine with him as well...
As for background influence, Obama's past suggests a radically leftist agenda.
For my money McCain is the best democrat in the race.
Also I thought McCain's succinct answers played much better than Obama's thoughtful answers.
